This monument is on the north side of Route 6A not far from the intersection of 6A and Mary Dunn Road. According to the 1937 book Cape Cod Pilot by Joseph Berger, the remains of Iyannough, a copper kettle and other items were excavated by farmer Dolar Davis in 1860. The remains were taken to a museum in Plymouth.
